Miss Andrea Albergaria is a brazilian dance teacher. She is also literature teacher. She started to learn
odissi dance in Brazil, during her studies at Unicamp, on Performing Arts Graduation. In 1996 and 1997 she had been in Orissa,
India, to develop researches on Odissi dance field. She had been at Srjan, where met Sri Kelucharan Mohapatra, the
great maestro of Odissi Dance. Back to Brazil, started to teach and perform. She had also got classes and Odissi training
under:
*Madhavi Mudgal (workshop)
*Parwati Dutta
*Sandhyadeepa Kar
*Manasi Pandya
besides Odissi Andrea Albergaria had received training in Kathak, Bharat Natyam and Kathakali on short courses.
She had been in Angola, Africa with her solo performance : Prema(2003) and performed also in India, Gujarat and Orissa,
in 2007, with a dance drama named Swapna Mandir.
She had been in many TV programs, including in India, on Janmastami special program.
She got some honours, in Brazil and India. She received special honour from Gujarat Parlament.
In Brazil she is related on the only one book about Classical Indian Dance, written by Joachim Andrade, 2008.
She is invited to teach classical indian dance at most important Cultural Center of Brazil, Centro Cultural Vergueiro.
In 2009 had been in Delhi, learning on Nritya Parichay, under guidance of great guru Mayadhar Raut and Madhumita Raut.
She also performed at Delhi International Auditorium Center.
SINCE 2010 IS STUDENT OF GURU MANORANJAN PRADHAN FROM
ORISSA.
