A ANDREA ALBERGARIA ODISSI DANCE GROUP (antiga cia mahari de danca indiana) foi criada em 1997 pela prof. Andrea Albergaria, juntamente com suas alunas com o proposito de difundir a danca odissi em eventos culturais e educativos. Tendo participado em varios eventos por todo o Brasil, a Cia Mahari de danca indiana tambem participou de espetaculos proprios em Atibaia, SP (sangam, yahi madhava, massala, swapna mandir entre outros), trazendo convidados como a cantora indiana Ratnabali Adhikari, o multiinstrumentista Marcus Santurys, o sitarista Krucis e tambem Dhaivat Raj. Esteve por dois anos como convidada no clube Esperia em SP, para o evento Saude e Espiritualidade.Em 2003 esteve em Angola, Africa, no festival da Asia.  Em setembro de 2007 foi convidada para o PURVA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CLASSICAL DANCES, em Baroda, Gujarat, India, sob a supervisao do Guru Sharad Pandya. A Cia Mahari e formada por profissionais de outras areas, que dedicam parte de seu tempo ao estudo e desenvolvimento da tecnica da danca Odissi.

Mahari`s Company is a Brazilian female group of classical Indian dance, Odissi style, founded in 1997 by Mrs.Andrea Albergaria with her students, in the city of Atibaia, Sao Paulo state, in Brazil. now is ANDREA ALBERGARIA ODISSI DANCE GROUP.

The main objective of this group is to spread Indian culture through the classical dance form performances in different places, not only at stages, but also at schools for children and young people, cultural festivals and artistic events in Brazilian cities.

Formed only by women from different ages and professions, Mahari`s Company was growing up year-by-year, receiving students from different cities near by. All participants

have dedicated a great part of their times to practice the Odissi technique on regular classes, as well to make researches on books of classical Indian dance, videos, dvds, and so as possible to watch performances of Indian groups that came to Brazil for tournees. The group had studied Abhinaya style, during a workshop, under guidance of Mrs Parwati Dutta, director of Mahagami School, Aurangabad, India, during her Brazilian Odissi programs, in 2005.

In 2007, during a tournee in India, Mahari classical Indian dance company had studied under Guru Sharad Pandya, Bharat Natyam Style, Kumari Manasi Pandya, Odissi Style as well folk Indian dances under Srimati Niru Pandya, in Purva School of Bharatnatyam, in Gujarat state, India. Besides performed in Purva Festival in Gujarat, Mahari Company had danced in Konark Temple, Orissa, India in a free performance for local people.

         With no sponsors or governmental support, Mahari`s Company just has real love and respect for Odissi Dance to go on through its work.
